I'm exhausted! I went to this great event in a store in the local shopping mall after work last night - great fun, trying on dresses and having a "lip makeover" (!!!!!). I bought an expensive evening gown that I totally fell in love with, and a lipstick that I don't need - but now I'm shattered. I did write an incredibly silly Gibbs/DiNozzo crack fic yesterday though, so hope to post that at some point. I am still writing my big BDSMy fic and my threesomey fic but I keep getting sidelined by other plot bunnies along the way - which is fun! I'm just going with it :-).

Talking of crack...Nikita rewrote the dragonslayer/virgin sacrifice fairytale hilariously the other day, putting her own special spin on the proceedings. It's amazing how easily it works with NCIS characters *g*. I hope she turns this into a series ;-).

bluespirit_star's lovely story, Make a Wish. I feel so proud of this as I was beta on this story and I loved it and I know how hard Bluespirit worked on it, and I want everyone to love it as much as I do :-). How fantastic that someone loved it so much they made this brilliant soundtrack for it! Squee!

Secondly - Rocky Carroll's blog! How nice is RC? He's lovely. Also, he says something nice about MW and about how they've done another cast round table to go out with the S6 DVDs. Yay!

Fourthly, I really enjoyed this little story this morning. I hope she writes more!

I'm off out at the Grand Designs exhibition in Docklands with my mum today. Hoping to buy screens for my upstairs windows to prevent another Harley Great Escape. Oops - see, this post IS a bit about cats *g*.

Finally, I wrote a little 3,000 word ficcy yesterday as a result of a conversation with

tejas a few days ago. Tejas is fast getting a reputation for provoking fics from everyone in the NCIS fandom. Hmph! And I was busy writing two OTHER fics before I got sidetracked, Missy! Anyway, hope to post the new ficcy tomorrow - it's one of those bittersweet little things. Sad but sweet (well, I hope!). Then back to the *other* ficcies - the Gibbs/Abby/Tony threesome one, and the Gibbs/Tony BDSM one that Nikita keeps nagging me about, uh, I mean, *inspiring* me to write. This is the one that made Bluespirit squee and has a very special history... Or maybe I'll get sidetracked by something else entirely. Yay! It's fun to be playing :-).

A few weeks ago,

lavvyan sent me a story she'd written set in my G&DS and CH BDSM universe. She asked if I minded her playing in the universe and said she'd throw the fic out if I objected.

I'll admit I approached the fic in trepidation after recent experiences but plenty of people have played in my universes over the years and for the most part that's been flattering - in the past I even put a few of them up on my site. I don't feel it's for me to tell people to chuck their fics away in any case. I was really pleased to be asked though - and I knew she had a genuine fondness for this universe because she sent me some lovely feedback to my stories and I know her and her work and the kind of person she is.

I read her story and enjoyed it. I like her style of writing very much and I particularly liked the "rescue" theme of this story, and some of the ideas she came up with and how she interpreted this particular John and Rodney. I was happy to be able to help her a little with a few suggestions as well.
